Precision Worldwide Logistics — Orange County B2B logistics and drayage case study by Digitalift

$187K

in pipeline from tracked leads · one quarter

The old reports showed 7.5 Google Ads calls a month. The real number, once we installed tracking? 28. Across every source, 93+ tracked calls a month — every one tied back to where it came from.

The Problem

Paying for marketing. No way to prove it worked.

Kirk had been paying for marketing for years. Campaigns were broken. There was no way to track which phone calls came from which marketing channel — just reports full of impressions and clicks, with no way to tie a single dollar of ad spend to a real phone call.

His one question:

"Prove to me this is actually working."

What We Installed

A full system — rebuilt from scratch.

Call tracking on every lead source — paid ads, organic search, direct, form fills. Every call traced back to where it came from.

Google Ads torn down and rebuilt with 92 targeted keywords across 7 service-specific campaigns — each pointed at the customers Kirk actually wants.

Organic search expanded with 20,000+ words of service content — not blog filler. Pages built to rank and convert.

Every dot connected. Every call tied to its source. Every keyword tied to an actual conversation. Every form traced back to the page that generated it.

The Results

93+

Tracked calls every month

Every one tied back to where it came from. No more guessing.

67

Keywords on Google Page 1

From nearly invisible to ranking across the service area.

3.7×

Real calls vs. what was reported

Old reports said 7.5 conversions. Our tracking proved 28 real calls.

Real revenue conversations, not just “leads”

  • · Seahorse Express — 24 containers, Long Beach to Dallas
  • · Hobby Lobby — onboarding drayage carriers
  • · Landstar — container racks, LAX to Houston

Deals worth $4,000–$30,000 each — not numbers on a spreadsheet.

"For the first time, I can see exactly where every call comes from and what it's worth."

— Kirk, Precision Worldwide Logistics

The Takeaway

Kirk's marketing was working before we arrived. He just couldn't see it — and the old reports couldn't prove it. The system didn't just generate leads. It proved where every call came from, what it cost, and what it turned into.

02 RV & Auto Repair Live Data

Farace RV & Automotive

Huntington Beach, California

Farace Auto & RV — Orange County auto repair and RV service case study by Digitalift

$15.7K

booked revenue · from one month of leads

100 tracked calls in 30 days. $15,750 in booked revenue from one month of leads.

The Problem

Calls coming in. No idea where from. No idea what they were worth.

Joe was running Google Ads and getting phone calls — but couldn't tell which calls came from the ads, which came from his Google Business Profile, and which came from the website. He had no way to tie any of it back to revenue.

He was also paying for clicks on services his shop doesn't even offer. No one had ever sat down and broken it down for him. He wasn't failing. He just didn't know where the engine actually was — or what it was producing in dollars.

What We Found

The real engine was hiding in plain sight.

63 calls a month coming in from his Google Business Profile — for free. Almost two-thirds of all his calls, and it wasn't costing him a dime.

Google Ads were generating an additional 24 calls a month — every one of them now traceable to the exact campaign, keyword, and click that made the phone ring.

$110 a month going to “mobile RV repair” searches — a service Farace doesn't even offer.

Another $40 a month on competitor names and dead-end clicks that had never once turned into a phone call.

$150 a month of waste eliminated — and put back behind the campaigns and listings that were actually producing booked jobs.

The Results

100

"We thought our ads were our main lead source. Turns out our Google listing was doing 3× the work — and nobody had told us."

— Joe, Farace RV & Automotive

The Takeaway

Joe thought his ads were the engine. The system showed him his Google Business Profile was — quietly producing 63 free calls a month and the majority of his booked work. $15,750 in booked revenue from one month of leads — finally visible, finally measurable.

03 Fencing Contractor Live Data

All Counties Fence & Supply

Riverside & San Bernardino Counties, California

All Counties Fence & Supply — Riverside and San Bernardino Counties fencing contractor case study by Digitalift

$126K

in pipeline from tracked leads · first quarter

34 tracked leads a month at $32.40 per lead — closing 29% into 10 booked jobs averaging $4,200. The revenue that used to be invisible is now traceable to the exact ad that produced it.

The Problem

Strong reputation. Broken systems behind it.

All Counties was spending significantly on Google Ads every month. Business felt okay, but nobody could explain the numbers. One report said real leads had dropped 45%. Another said “total activity” was up 133%. Something wasn't adding up — and nobody could tell Chris which number to trust.

A 4.6-star Google rating. 293 reviews. The reputation was strong. The systems behind it were broken — and there was no way to tie a single dollar of marketing to a single booked job.

"I just want to know which dollars are actually working."

What We Found

The numbers he was trusting weren't real.

Real customer leads had quietly dropped 81% — from 628 down to 120 — hidden underneath a much bigger “total activity” number that made everything look fine.

His ads were getting 4× more views than the year before — but those views were ending up in front of the wrong people. Twice as many eyeballs, half as many leads.

Iron fencing leads were costing 5× more than chain link leads for the same type of customer — and nobody had ever flagged it.

Zero phone call tracking. Months of Google Ads running with no way to know which calls came from where — in an industry where the phone call is the sale.

No city-by-city targeting. The ads only ran on generic “near me” searches — missing Corona, Moreno Valley, Ontario, and a dozen other towns Chris actually services.

What We Installed

Phone tracking on everything

Every call traced back to the exact ad, search, or page that made it ring.

Reports he can actually trust

Rebuilt from scratch — only real leads count, with no inflated numbers hiding the truth.

Ads pointed back at real customers

Stop the waste on the wrong audiences. Put his budget back in front of homeowners actively looking to buy a fence.

Fix the iron fencing leak

Bring iron fencing in line with the rest of his services — it shouldn't cost 5× more per lead. Better page, better offer, better follow-up.

City-by-city targeting

Corona, Moreno Valley, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga — every town his crews actually serve, getting its own attention.

Closed jobs back into the loop

When a job closes, that information feeds back so the ads learn to chase real revenue — not just clicks.

The Results · 90 Days In

Every dollar finally tied to a job.

34

The Iron Fencing Leak

5× overpay, gone.

Iron fencing leads were costing 5× more than chain link leads in the old account — same customer, same neighborhood, same intent. Rebuilt landing page, tightened targeting, fixed bidding strategy.

Iron lead cost dropped from $148 to $39 in 60 days. Same conversion rate. Just stopped overpaying for the click.

"For the first time, I can open the report and tell you exactly which jobs came from which ads. That's never happened before."

— Chris, All Counties Fence & Supply

The Takeaway

All Counties wasn't failing — they were flying blind. We didn't ask Chris to spend more. We just made every dollar visible, then tied it to a booked job. Same business. Same crews. Same budget. The difference was being able to see where the money was actually going — and what it was producing.

04 Roofing Contractor Live Data

Tom Byer Roofing Service

Southern California

Tom Byer Roofing — Orange County roofing contractor case study by Digitalift

$90K

monthly booked revenue · tracked & attributed

Voicemail eliminated. 28 tracked calls a month at $47.50 per lead — 6 booked jobs at a $15,000 blended ticket. Plus the calls competitors were stealing, taken back.

The Problem

Decades of expertise. Invisible online.

Tom Byer Roofing has been in business for decades. Real jobs. Real crews. Real expertise. But when we called his main line — it went to voicemail. No one answered. Nothing was captured. An estimate request from a homeowner would hit an answering machine and sit there.

Meanwhile, competitors were paying to show up at the top of Google whenever someone searched for “Tom Byer Roofing” by name — stealing customers right out from under him. His website had broken links. And the great work his crews do every day was nowhere to be seen online.

What We Installed

Project galleries that show the work

Real jobs — before, during, and after. The Blackthorne flat roof project was the first to go live.

Never miss another call

When a call goes unanswered, the homeowner gets a text back within 60 seconds. So the next call doesn't get lost to a competitor.

Fix the broken parts of the website

Broken links repaired. Content rewritten around the real questions homeowners ask before they hire a roofer.

Stop competitors from stealing his name

Identify the companies paying to show up when people search “Tom Byer” — and push them off the top spot.

Show up in the right neighborhoods

Target the exact cities and zip codes where his crews actually work — not generic, wasted reach.

Phone tracking and a clean Google listing

Every call tracked from day one. Google listing rebuilt to win the way searches work today.

The Results · 90 Days In

Voicemail gone. Brand defense holding. Every job sourced.

28

Tracked calls / month — every one captured, sourced, and routed. Zero going to voicemail.

$47.50

Cost per real lead — fair price for a homeowner who's actively asking for an estimate on a $15K job.

9 / 10

Speed-to-lead capture — the 60-second auto-text now catches 9 out of every 10 unanswered calls before the homeowner calls the next roofer.

6

Booked jobs / month at a $15,000 blended ticket — service repairs, full re-roofs, and flat-roof projects, all attributed.

~4

Branded searches / month recovered from competitors bidding on "Tom Byer" — calls that used to go to other roofers now come home.

$90K

Monthly booked revenue tied directly to tracked lead sources — closed-loop, every dollar attributed.

Brand Defense

The calls competitors were stealing, taken back.

When we audited the account, three competing roofers were bidding on "Tom Byer" — the company name his customers were Googling by hand. Every time a referral or repeat customer searched him, they were getting served a competitor first.

In 90 days, Tom Byer reclaimed the #1 spot on his own name. Roughly 4 branded calls a month are now coming back to him instead of being intercepted — referrals and repeat customers who Google his company by name. These are some of the highest-intent calls a roofer can get, and they're now reaching the right phone.

"We used to wonder where the leads went. Now I can see them — every call, every job, every dollar. It's a different business."

— Brian, Tom Byer Roofing Service

The Takeaway

The work was always world-class. The system to capture and prove the demand wasn't. Now every call gets answered, every name-search defends back to him, and every booked job traces to the dollar that produced it. A roofing company shouldn't lose a $15,000 job because a call went to voicemail — and it doesn't anymore.

05 Plumbing Contractor Day 0 · Year 1 Forecast

Delta Plumbing

Orange County, California

Delta Plumbing — Orange County plumbing contractor case study by Digitalift

20 years. Perfect 5-star. AI can't find them.
$650 per missed lead.

$650

AVG PLUMBING LEAD VALUE

The Setup

A reputation earned. A search engine that can't see it.

Kamran has been running a plumbing company in Orange County for over 20 years. Perfect 5-star Google rating. Real project work. A reputation built on two decades of showing up and doing the job right.

When we met with Kamran, we asked a simple question:

"What happens when a homeowner in your area asks an AI assistant for a good plumber?"

The answer: Delta doesn't come up.

The Problem

Twenty years of trust. Invisible to the new way people search.

Twenty years of proof — reviews, completed projects, real customers — and the AI assistants homeowners are using right now can't see any of it. Nothing on his website is written in a way these new tools can read. His Google listing isn't built for how people search today. None of the work his crew does every day is being turned into the kind of content that gets him recommended.

When we called to test, the line went to voicemail. Same pattern we see in 90% of established trades businesses: incredible at the work, invisible online.

What We're Building

Content the new AI assistants can actually read

Pages written and structured so that when a homeowner asks an AI for a plumber in Orange County, Delta is the name that comes up.

Never miss another call

No more voicemail. When a call comes in and can't be answered, the homeowner gets a text back within 60 seconds — so a burst pipe doesn't turn into a lost job.

A clean, complete Google presence

Google listing rebuilt, his business information cleaned up everywhere it shows up online, and dedicated content for every neighborhood Delta serves.

Ads where every dollar is accountable

Every dollar tied to a call. Every call tied to a real job. From day one — no guessing, no “total activity” hiding the truth.

What that means in dollars

Every missed call has a real dollar value.

Service calls run $350–$500. Water heater replacements: $1,200–$2,500. Whole-house repipes: $3,000–$8,000. Slab leak repairs: $2,500+. Blend it all together and the average plumbing lead in Orange County is worth about $650.

10 missed leads a month — a low estimate for a 20-year, perfect-rating plumber that AI can't see — is $6,500 in lost revenue every month. ~$78,000 a year.

Year 1 Forecast · Closed-Loop

The recovery math, line by line.

~30

Tracked calls / month (target by month 6) — paid search, organic, AI assistant referrals, and the 60-second auto-text catching what would have been voicemail.

$40–$55

Target cost per real lead — in line with industry CPL for plumbing in Orange County, every dollar attributed to source.

35%

Lead-to-job close rate — conservative for an established 5-star plumber with answered calls and same-day dispatch.

~10

Booked jobs / month at the $650 blended ticket — service, water heaters, repipes, slab leaks, all attributed by call source.

50%

Of invisible revenue recovered in Year 1 — the conservative target. Recovering half the $78K/yr that's walking is the floor, not the ceiling.

$39K

Year 1 revenue floor — recovered from leads currently lost to voicemail and AI invisibility, with a clear upside path to the full $78K as AI rankings compound.

"Twenty years of five-star work, and the algorithm doesn't know we exist. That's the problem we're solving."

— Kamran, Delta Plumbing

Live Case Study

Check back in 90 days for the proof. Every number that matters — calls, rankings, AI mentions, and booked revenue — will be tracked and published right here.

The Takeaway

If a 20-year plumber with a perfect rating can be invisible to the new way people search, what about your business? The reputation is earned. The visibility — and the revenue it produces — has to be built.
